We are grateful for the opportunity to have met with some really inspirational professionals last week, that are working to achieve the same goal as Seable. This goal is to provide help for disabled people and wheelchair users, so they can enjoy a more active lifestyle. These organizations are offering all kinds of amazing products and services that can really help disabled people overcome their disability and live a more active and independent lifestyle.
A wheelchair user now has the option to choose from a range of wheelchair types like the power chair, power wheelchair, motorized wheelchair, lightweight wheelchair, electric wheelchair, portable wheelchair, and the latest ‘all terrain wheelchair’. Other products include clothes for wheelchair users, products to promote exercise for wheelchair users, cars for wheelchair users, wheelchair lifts for vans, gloves for wheelchair users, products for disabled travel, and many other kinds of disability equipment. Some of the services now available to a disabled person include jobs for disabled, accessible cruises for disabled, travel for handicapped, accessibility for disabled people looking to enjoy their holidays, and active and accessible holidays for people with disabilities.
We met with a lot of great professionals but we would especially like to mention a few names like ‘Martin Mansell’, a 9 times Paralympic medallist. He has been involved in disability sports since 1975 and since then has been a competitor in 2 Paralympic Games, two World championships, two European championships, and 15 other International Competitions. He now is the proud re-developer of the original product ‘Floatsation’ which is known to be the most inclusive swimming floating aids available.
‘Steve Dent’, managing director of Spokz, a company that provides disability sports and lifestyle services and products which include accessories, clothing, and other gym equipment. Their aim is to introduce innovative, exciting, and affordable products to wheelchair users and other disabled people. Like all other companies working in this industry, their aim is to help disabled people and wheelchair users improve their lifestyle by offering them sports and leisure products and services that are designed to enhance their physical, mental, and sexual wellbeing.
‘Gary Marlow’ director of Marlow Sports, which offers wheelchair users and disabled people a wide range of sports activities, programmes, and courses to engage in. They have trained coaches which provide clubs, schools, and private parties, fitness classes in a fun environment. Their experienced staff works with disabled adults, children, and other wheelchair users and people with special needs. Gary Marlow himself is now offering training programmes for university students, teaching assistants, teachers, and others following leadership programmes.
